thanks for the link! we are becoming more and more add and so corporations are asking for more and more multitasking, not necessarily what your taught in school, especially years ago!

Whenever I visit I always end up commenting on 2 or 3 articles Perhaps it is an age difference but I was not taught to multitask while growing up. I can do it but find it distracting and that it decreases my productivity. Why is it increasingly becoming a required skill when study after study shows that it makes us less productive and more prone to make mistakes (and that isn't just old people but everyone)?

Hey Jeremy,

If you understand SEO, PPC, and Social media I'm sure you will be able to land a solid job that will utilize your skill set.

Teaching it shouldn't be that hard. A lot of it is mindset, current teachers have been teaching for years and dont understand the value of social networking. we need to bring in folks with a different attitude that can shed some light on the power of networking.

I agree with you totally. Ironically enough I am currently looking for a marketing job and luckily I know about SEO and PPC and social media, but I am totally self-taught – there is no real training in it… If it wasn't for being inquisitive I would be last in the queue…
How do we teach this to students? most teacher discourage networking – most school computers have firewalls that limit usage of networking sites…
Come on Beta-education…
