Joining Bubblicious as a Contributing Writer
I am very excited to announce that I am going to be joining Bubblicious as a contributing writer. I actually just wrote my first official post yesterday. I am very exciting to join the bubblicious team and I have tremendous respect for the man who runs it, Brian Solis. I have learned a lot from Brian and definitely consider him to be one of the leaders in the social media and emerging PR space.
For those of you not familiar with Bubblicious, it is a site dedicated to covrering the social media culture and the social media economy. What I like the most about Bubblicious is the personality. It focusses on a different side of social media and tech, not many sites out there do this. The writers are top quality and all bring a unique perspective and knowledge base to the team.
Of course, I am still going to be writing for my own blog as well
I encourage all of you to check out bubblicious. I look forward to reading all of your comments!
Thanks for reading everyone!

My Computer Crashed, What would You do Without Your Computer?
Recently my computer crashed, we have all been there before haven’t we? We have all seen that lovely blue screen that illuminates the room like a cheap strip club on Sunday night after a bunch of drunkards have just been kicked out. Quite frankly, if I had to choose between having my computer die or being a kicked out of a cheap strip club, I would pick the strip club hands down. That being said I did learn a bit about my technology habits and had time to reflect on my dependencies (yes it’s meant to sound like a drug, social media is not that different you know) and online usage. Once you realize your computer is dead, you begin to realize how dependent you really are on technology and on the internet…

If Facebook or Twitter Charged $30/Month Would You Pay?
Would you pay to use social media platforms such as twitter, facebook, linkedin, etc? If so, how much would you be willing to pay? Below I have outlined a few reasons why a subscription based approach would not work for social media platforms. I would love to hear your ideas/thoughts/comments on this hot topic. Do you think social media platforms should charge? What say you?

Some of My Favorite Recent Posts
I just came back from Lake Tahoe where I tried to relax and take my mind off of work. I actually did spend some time reading though, and wanted to share a few useful tidbits of information that I have found while poking around on the web. Let’s get to it.

Friday’s Food for the Soul, Groundhog Day
One of my favorite movies is “Groundhog Day” with Bill Murray. For those of you not familiar with the film, the premise is rather simple. Bill Murray is a rude grouchy fellow who is very inconsiderate of other people. One day Bill Murray wakes up to find that he is reliving the same day over and over; Groundhog Day. This is Bill Murray’s punishment for being rude and inconsiderate. As the film progresses we see how Bill Murray’s attitudes towards people changes. I am not going to spoil the ending but if you have not seen the film, I highly recommend it. I was just thinking about this film and it made me wonder…
